Kamalabari Satra

Kamalabari Satra is a prominent Vaishnavite monastery located at Kamalabari on Majuli Island in Assam. Established in the late 16th century, it is one of the principal satras of the Ekasarana Dharma founded by Srimanta Sankardev. The satra is a centre for Satriya culture, art, music and dance, and is known for its religious teachings, manuscript preservation and cultural performances.
