Ruby Gap Nature Park
Ruby Gap Nature Park is a remote nature park in the East MacDonnell Ranges, about 151 kilometres east of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. Centred on Glen Annie Gorge where the Hale River cuts through rugged quartzite ranges, the park is notable as the site of Central Australia's 1886 ruby rush, sparked by garnets mistaken for rubies. It offers stark desert scenery, seasonal waterholes, bush camping and high-clearance 4WD access along the sandy riverbed.
