Chek Jawa Wetlands
Chek Jawa Wetlands is a natural coastal wetland at the eastern tip of Pulau Ubin island in the North-Eastern Islands of Singapore. It is notable for containing six distinct ecosystems in one area, including mangroves, seagrass lagoon, coral rubble, sandy and rocky shores, and coastal forest. Protected from reclamation after a 2001 biodiversity survey, it features a boardwalk, viewing tower and visitor centre, offering close observation of marine and bird life.
