Tabin Wildlife Reserve
Tabin Wildlife Reserve is a 120,500-hectare protected area in Lahad Datu District, eastern Sabah, Malaysia. Established in 1984, it is Sabah's largest wildlife reserve, comprising lowland dipterocarp forest, mangroves and mud volcanoes. It is notable for hosting three of Sabah's largest mammals — Bornean pygmy elephant, Sumatran rhinoceros and banteng — alongside orangutans, proboscis monkeys and diverse birdlife, offering guided wildlife observation in a primary rainforest setting.
