Penang Hill
Penang Hill, known locally as Bukit Bendera, is a historic hill station in Air Itam, George Town, Penang, rising 833 metres above sea level. Developed by the British in the late 18th century as a cool retreat, it is now a major natural attraction accessed by the Penang Hill Funicular. Notable for panoramic views over George Town and the Strait of Malacca, colonial bungalows, cooler climate, and biodiversity within its rainforest reserve.
