Pulau Besar (Big Island)
Pulau Besar is a small coastal island about 13 km southeast of Melaka City in Melaka Tengah District, Malacca, Malaysia. Accessible by speedboat from Anjung Batu Jetty and Umbai Jetty, it features sandy beaches, clear shallow waters and forested interior. The island is notable as a pilgrimage destination with historic Islamic tombs and shrines, a small museum, caves and legends linked to early Malay sultanate figures, combining natural scenery with cultural heritage.
