REXKL is a restored cultural and creative hub housed in the former Rex Cinema on Jalan Sultan in central Kuala Lumpur's Chinatown. Originally opened as a cinema in 1947, the Art Deco building was repurposed in 2019 as a community arts space. It is notable for its heritage architecture, large BookXcess bookstore, exhibition areas, event hall and food outlets, serving as a venue for markets, screenings, performances and cultural programmes.
Yagan Square is a public square in central Perth, Western Australia, located between Perth Railway Station and Horseshoe Bridge at the junction of Wellington and William Streets. Opened on 3 March 2018 as part of the Perth City Link project, it reconnects the central business district with Northbridge. Named after Whadjuk Noongar warrior Yagan, the square features a Market Hall, amphitheatre, digital tower, water feature and Noongar artworks as a community gathering and events space.
