Magellan's Cross
Magellan's Cross is a historic Christian cross housed in an octagonal kiosk on Magallanes Street in Santo Niño, Cebu City, Cebu. Planted by Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan in 1521, it marks the arrival of Christianity in the Philippines. The original cross is encased in tindalo wood for preservation and displayed inside a small chapel pavilion adjacent to the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño.
