De Tjolomadoe
De Tjolomadoe is a restored former sugar factory in Colomadu, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java, near Surakarta. Originally built in 1861 as Pabrik Gula Colomadu by Mangkunegara IV, it operated for over a century before closing in 1998. Reopened in 2018 as a heritage museum and cultural venue, it preserves original Dutch-colonial architecture and sugar-processing machinery while hosting exhibitions, concerts and events.
