The First Thai-Myanmar Friendship Bridge is a 420-meter bridge spanning the Moei River between Tha Sai Luat, Mae Sot District, Tak Province, Thailand, and Myawaddy, Myanmar. Opened on 15 August 1997, it was the first direct road link between the two countries and forms part of Asian Highway 1. The bridge serves as an international border checkpoint and is notable for its role in cross-border trade and as a landmark for visitors to the Mae Sot border area.
