Royal Elephant Kraal
The Royal Elephant Kraal is a restored historic elephant enclosure in Suan Phrik, north of Ayutthaya city, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. Dating to the Ayutthaya Kingdom, it is the last remaining traditional phaniat used to capture and tame wild elephants for royal and military use. Enclosed by massive teak posts, the site now functions as a heritage site and elephant village dedicated to conservation, education, and preserving Thailand's elephant-related traditions.
