Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Station
Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Station is the upper terminus of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway in Darjeeling town, West Bengal. Built in 1881 as part of the narrow-gauge line connecting New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling, it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Mountain Railways of India. The small colonial-style station at about 2,050 metres elevation serves as the base for the famous toy train joy rides and remains an active heritage railway hub.
