Tarapith Tara Temple

Tarapith Tara Temple is a prominent Hindu Shakti shrine located in Tarapith town in Birbhum district, West Bengal, on the banks of the Dwarka River. Dedicated to Goddess Tara, a form of Adi Shakti, it is revered as one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. The temple is known for its distinctive red structure, tantric traditions, association with saint Bamakhepa, and its adjacent Maha Shamshan cremation ground.
