Amar Kutir

Amar Kutir is a rural handicraft cooperative and cultural complex located at Ballavpur on the outskirts of Santiniketan in Birbhum district, West Bengal. Established in 1923, it is renowned for promoting traditional Bengali crafts including leather work, batik, kantha embroidery and bamboo crafts. The complex houses workshops, showrooms and exhibition spaces where visitors can observe artisans at work and purchase authentic handmade products supporting local rural livelihoods.
