Deoria Tal
Deoria Tal is a high-altitude alpine lake situated at 2,438 meters in the Kedarnath Musk Deer Sanctuary of Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag district. Located approximately 2.5 kilometers uphill from Sari village, this sacred lake is renowned for its crystal-clear reflections of the Chaukhamba and other Himalayan peaks. The site holds significant mythological importance as the believed bathing place of Hindu deities and features prominently in Mahabharata legends. Accessible via a short trek through dense oak and rhododendron forests, it serves as a popular destination for nature photography, birdwatching, and as a starting point for extended treks to Tungnath and Chandrashila.
