Kalimath Temple

Kalimath Temple is a revered Hindu shrine dedicated to Goddess Kali, located in Kalimath village in Rudraprayag district, Uttarakhand. Situated at an altitude of approximately 1,800 meters on the banks of the Saraswati River, it is recognized as a Siddha Peeth by the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee. The temple is notable for its unique worship tradition centered around a sacred Sri Yantra rather than a conventional idol, and holds significant mythological importance as the site where Goddess Kali is believed to have defeated the demon Raktabija.
