Askot Musk Deer Sanctuary

Askot Musk Deer Sanctuary is a protected wildlife reserve located in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, India. Established in 1986, it spans approximately 600 square kilometers and was created primarily to conserve the endangered Himalayan musk deer. The sanctuary features diverse Himalayan flora and fauna, including snow leopards, black bears, and various high-altitude bird species, set against the backdrop of the Panchchuli peaks.
