Auli Ropeway
The Auli Ropeway is one of Asia's longest and highest cable car systems, connecting Joshimath town with the hill station of Auli in Uttarakhand. Spanning approximately 4.15 kilometers over more than 10 towers, this government-operated ropeway offers panoramic views of Himalayan peaks including Nanda Devi, Kamet, and Dunagiri. Built in the 1980s and operational since 1993-1994, it serves as both a transportation link and a major tourist attraction, providing access to skiing slopes and alpine meadows.
