Chintaharan Mahadev Temple
Chintaharan Mahadev Temple is a Hindu Shiva temple located in Mahavan (Mahaban), Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh, on the eastern bank of the Yamuna River opposite Mathura. Revered in Braj tradition, the temple enshrines a Shiva lingam believed to relieve devotees' worries, hence the name Chintaharan. The modest shrine with traditional North Indian architecture attracts pilgrims visiting the Braj circuit, especially during Maha Shivratri and the holy month of Shravan.
