The Tomb of Akbar the Great is a Mughal mausoleum located in Sikandra, a suburb of Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Commissioned by Emperor Akbar himself around 1605 and completed by his son Jahangir in 1613, it is renowned for its blend of Islamic, Hindu, Jain, Christian and Persian architectural styles. Set within a large charbagh garden, the red sandstone and white marble structure is an important example of Mughal funerary architecture.
