Agusan River
The Agusan River is the third longest river in the Philippines, stretching about 350 kilometers through eastern Mindanao and flowing through Butuan City in Agusan del Norte before emptying into Butuan Bay. It traverses the Agusan Valley and Agusan Marsh. Notable for its historical role in pre-colonial trade and the discovery of ancient Balangay boats along its banks, the river remains a vital waterway, cultural landmark, and scenic natural attraction for visitors to Butuan.
