Gnana Saraswati Temple
The Gnana Saraswati Temple is an ancient Hindu shrine dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, located on the banks of the Godavari River in Basar, Telangana. It is one of only two prominent Saraswati temples in the Indian subcontinent. The temple is historically significant for its association with Sage Vyasa and is a major pilgrimage site where children undergo the Aksharabhyasam initiation ceremony before starting formal education.
