Amrabad Tiger Reserve

Amrabad Tiger Reserve is one of the largest tiger reserves in India, spanning approximately 2,611 square kilometers across Nagarkurnool and Nalgonda districts in Telangana. Located in the Nallamala Hills of the Eastern Ghats, it was notified as a sanctuary in 1983 and declared a separate tiger reserve in 2014. The reserve features rugged terrain with deep valleys and gorges forming the catchment of the Krishna River, and is home to Bengal tigers, leopards, sloth bears, and diverse endemic flora and fauna.
