Amaravathi Crocodile Farm

Amaravathi Crocodile Farm is a captive crocodile breeding centre located at the Amaravathi Dam site near Udumalpet in Tiruppur district, Tamil Nadu. Established in 1975 by the Tamil Nadu Forest Department, it is considered one of the largest crocodile farms in India. The farm houses mugger crocodiles in large enclosures near the Amaravathi Reservoir, within the Anamalai Tiger Reserve fringe, and serves conservation, breeding and education purposes.
