Sarangapani Temple
Sarangapani Temple is a major Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in the temple town of Kumbakonam in Thanjavur District, Tamil Nadu. Situated near the Potramarai Tank, it is one of the 108 Divya Desams and part of the Pancharanga Kshetrams. Notable for its towering 11-tier eastern gopuram, chariot-shaped sanctum and Dravidian architecture developed under Chola, Vijayanagara and Nayak patronage, it is a central pilgrimage and architectural landmark.
