Agneeswarar Temple
Agneeswarar Temple is a Hindu Shiva temple located in Thirupugalur village, Nagapattinam district, Tamil Nadu. Dedicated to Lord Shiva as Agneeswarar and Goddess Karundhazh Kuzhali, it is one of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams revered in Tevaram hymns by Appar and Sambandar. The temple is noted for its twin shrines sharing a common complex, Chola-era architecture, and association with saint Appar who attained liberation here.
