Vriddhagiriswarar Temple
Vriddhagiriswarar Temple is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Vriddhachalam, Cuddalore District, Tamil Nadu, on the banks of the Manimuthar River. Worshipped as Vriddhagiriswarar with consort Viruthambigai, it is one of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams revered in Tevaram hymns. Noted for Dravidian architecture, towering gopurams, mandapams and Chola-era inscriptions, it is a major pilgrimage centre in central Tamil Nadu.
