Rongli

Rongli is a small market town in Pakyong District in eastern Sikkim, located along the Rongli River about 66 km east of Gangtok at around 800-1000 metres elevation. It serves as the main administrative centre and permit checkpoint for the Old Silk Route tourist circuit to Zuluk, Nathang Valley and Kupup. Known for its bazaar, forested hills and river valley setting, it functions primarily as a transit hub for visitors heading to higher Himalayan destinations.
