Monsoon Palace Sajjangarh
The Monsoon Palace, also known as Sajjangarh Palace, is a hilltop palatial residence built in 1884 by Maharana Sajjan Singh of the Mewar dynasty. Perched on Bansdara Hill at approximately 3,100 feet above sea level, it offers panoramic views of Udaipur's lakes and surrounding countryside. Originally intended as an astronomical center and monsoon retreat, the palace now serves as a heritage site under the Forest Department of Rajasthan.
