Salawas Durry Weaving Village
Salawas is a village located approximately 22 kilometers from Jodhpur in Rajasthan, renowned for its traditional handwoven durries (flat-woven rugs). The village has preserved a 700-year-old weaving tradition passed down through generations of artisan families, particularly the Bishnoi community. Visitors can observe artisans working on handlooms using traditional techniques and natural materials including cotton, wool, and jute to create colorful reversible rugs.
