Shri Godham Mahatirth Pathmeda
Shri Godham Mahatirth Pathmeda is recognized as the world's largest cow shelter (goshala), located in Pathmeda village near Sanchore in Jalore district, Rajasthan. Established in 1993 by Swami Datt Sharnanandji Maharaj with just 8 cows, it has grown to serve over 155,000 cattle across 65+ goshalas in five states. The institution combines cow protection with education, Sanskrit learning, Ayurveda, temple worship, and community service, evolving into a complete Sanatan Teerth-Sansthan.
