Pachpadra Salt Lake
Pachpadra Salt Lake is a saline lake located near Pachpadra town in the Balotra district of Rajasthan. Spanning approximately 25 square kilometers, it is renowned for its exceptionally high sodium chloride content of 98%, making it one of the purest salt sources in India. The lake has been a center for traditional salt production by the local Kharwal community for centuries. Its vast white salt flats create a striking visual contrast against the arid desert landscape, attracting visitors interested in photography, birdwatching, and observing indigenous salt-making methods.
