Akal Takht Sahib
Akal Takht Sahib is the highest temporal seat of Sikhism located within the Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple) complex in Amritsar, Punjab. Founded by Guru Hargobind in 1606, it stands opposite the Harmandir Sahib across the causeway. The five-storey structure with a gilded dome serves as the central authority for Sikh religious matters and symbolizes the concept of Miri-Piri. It is a major pilgrimage and visitor site within the sacred complex.
