Shri Vitthal-Rukmini Mandir
Shri Vitthal-Rukmini Mandir is a historic Hindu temple located on the banks of the Chandrabhaga River in Pandharpur, Maharashtra. Dedicated to Lord Vithoba (a form of Vishnu/Krishna) and his consort Rukmini, it is the focal point of the Warkari tradition. The existing structure largely dates from the 17th century, though inscriptions trace worship at the site to at least 1189 CE. It is renowned for allowing devotees to touch the deity's feet during darshan.
