Chet Singh Ghat
Chet Singh Ghat is a historic riverfront ghat on the Ganges in southern Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, near Shivala. Dominated by the 18th-century Chet Singh Fort rising above the river steps, it is known for its fortified palace architecture and battlements. The ghat is notable for its association with the 1781 confrontation between Maharaja Chet Singh and Warren Hastings and offers views of the Ganges and the continuous stretch of Varanasi ghats.
