Hunder Bactrian Camel Safari Area
The Hunder Bactrian Camel Safari Area is a stretch of white sand dunes along the Shyok River at Hunder village in Nubra Valley, Ladakh. It is known for its population of double-humped Bactrian camels, remnants of Silk Route trade caravans. Set against the Karakoram Range, the dunes offer short camel rides and open desert scenery. The site is a major visitor stop between Diskit and Turtuk in northern Ladakh.
