Madavoorpara Rock Cut Temple
Madavoorpara Rock Cut Temple is a 9th-century CE rock-cut Shiva temple located in Chenkottukonam near Kattayikonam in Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. Perched approximately 300 feet above sea level, this protected archaeological monument features a cave temple carved from a single rock with ancient Vattezhuthu script inscriptions. The site includes a distinctive 100-meter bamboo bridge leading to panoramic hilltop views and is maintained by the State Archaeology Department.
