Thunchan Parambu

Thunchan Parambu is a heritage memorial located in Tirur, Malappuram district, Kerala, marking the birthplace of Thunchaththu Ezhuthachan, regarded as the father of the Malayalam language. The site preserves his ancestral home, a museum with ancient manuscripts and iron stylus, and a revered Kanjiram tree. Maintained by the Thunchan Memorial Trust, it serves as a cultural centre for Malayalam literature and hosts the annual Vidyarambham ceremony initiating children into learning.
