Lokanarkavu Temple

Lokanarkavu Temple is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Durga (Bhagavathy) located at Memunda, about 4 km from Vatakara in Kozhikode District, Kerala. Notable for its traditional Kerala architecture, wood carvings and murals, the temple is closely associated with Kalaripayattu martial tradition and the legendary warrior Thacholi Othenan. It comprises two main shrines and is a significant pilgrimage and cultural centre in North Malabar.
