Beypore Port
Beypore Port is a historic intermediate port located at the mouth of the Chaliyar River in Beypore, Kozhikode district, Kerala. Situated about 11 km south of Kozhikode city where the river meets the Arabian Sea, it is renowned as a 1,500-year-old shipbuilding centre for traditional wooden dhows called Urus. The port combines a working fishing harbour, cargo operations and tourism, noted for its 1 km stone pier (Pulimuttu) and maritime heritage.
