Kulamavu Dam
Kulamavu Dam is a gravity/masonry dam built across the Kilivillithode River, a tributary of the Periyar River in Idukki District, Kerala. Completed in 1977, it forms part of the Idukki Hydro Electric Project along with Idukki Arch Dam and Cheruthoni Dam, creating an artificial reservoir spanning approximately 60 square kilometers. The dam diverts water through a power tunnel to an underground powerhouse at Moolamattom with an installed capacity of 780 MW.
