Kunchan Nambiar Smarakam
The Kunchan Nambiar Smarakam in Ambalappuzha is a memorial and cultural centre established in 1967 to honour the legendary Malayalam poet Kunchan Nambiar, who originated the satirical art form Ottan Thullal. Located near the Ambalappuzha Sree Krishna Temple where Nambiar spent much of his life, the memorial is built on his burial site in traditional Kerala architectural style. It functions under the Department of Culture of the Government of Kerala and promotes traditional folk arts through performances and training.
