Papnash Shiva Temple

Papnash Shiva Temple is a revered Hindu temple located in a valley about 3 km west of Bidar city in Karnataka. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is situated beside the sacred Papnash Tank fed by a natural spring. Traditionally believed to have been established by Lord Rama to absolve sins, the temple is notable for its serene valley setting, historic tank and Shiva lingam, and its importance as a pilgrimage site especially during Maha Shivaratri.
