Hazratbal Shrine
Hazratbal Shrine is a revered white-marble Islamic shrine located on the northern shore of Dal Lake in Hazratbal, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. Known as Dargah Sharif and Assar-e-Sharif, it enshrines a relic believed to be a hair of Prophet Muhammad. The present domed marble structure, built between 1968 and 1979, replaced an earlier 17th-century building. Set against the Zabarwan Hills, it is the most important Muslim shrine in Kashmir and a major visitor attraction.
