Baba Jitto Shrine

Baba Jitto Shrine is a revered folk shrine located in Jhiri village, about 20 km northwest of Jammu city in Jammu and Kashmir. Dedicated to Baba Jitto, a 15th-century farmer revered as a folk deity and martyr, the shrine commemorates his sacrifice against feudal exploitation. Set in rural surroundings with a simple temple structure, it is best known for the annual week-long Jhiri Mela held in October-November, which draws thousands of pilgrims and farmers.
