Ramshahr Fort
Ramshahr Fort is a 16th-century hilltop fort located in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, near Nalagarh. Commissioned by Raja Ram Chander in 1540 AD, it was originally named Ramgarh Fort and served as a strategic sentinel over the Shivalik Hills. Today, the fort has been restored into a heritage resort featuring palatial structures that blend Hindu, Mughal, and British architectural styles. Perched atop a hillock, it offers panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and the Sirsa River.
