Markandeshwar Mahadev Temple

Markandeshwar Mahadev Temple is a revered Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located on the banks of the Markanda River at Shahabad Markanda in Kurukshetra district, Haryana. Associated with Sage Markandeya, the temple is believed to be ancient and is an important pilgrimage centre in the region. It features a Shiva lingam and traditional North Indian temple architecture and attracts devotees especially during Maha Shivratri and Shravan month.
