About Zebedee Springs
Zebedee Springs is a series of natural thermal springs located within El Questro Wilderness Park in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia, in the Shire of Wyndham-East Kimberley. Fed by warm artesian water at around 28-32°C, the springs form a sequence of small pools surrounded by dense Livistona palm forest. Accessible via a short walking trail, the site is a popular visitor attraction on the Gibb River Road for swimming and nature appreciation during the dry season.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a short natural bush walk (approximately 1 km return) from the car park through savanna to a secluded, palm-fringed gorge containing a series of warm, clear thermal pools fed by springs. The pools are shallow and terraced among rocks and Livistona palms, creating a rainforest-like micro-environment. Visitors can bathe and wade in the designated warm pools, photograph the palm forest and rock formations, and enjoy the tranquil natural setting. The site is undeveloped with no built pools, retaining a natural character.
