About Wat Pa Nanachat
Wat Pa Nanachat is an international Theravada Buddhist forest monastery in Bung Wai, Warin Chamrap District, Ubon Ratchathani, northeastern Thailand. Founded in 1975 by Ajahn Chah for English-speaking and other international monks, it follows the Thai Forest Tradition. The monastery is known for its tranquil forest setting, simple wooden structures, meditation practice, and English-language Dhamma teachings, serving as the main training center for non-Thai monks in the Ajahn Chah lineage.
