About Wat Dhammachak Semaram
Wat Dhammachak Semaram is an ancient Buddhist temple in Sung Noen District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, northeastern Thailand. It is renowned for housing Thailand's oldest and largest Dvaravati-period reclining Buddha, a 13.3-meter sandstone image dating to the 7th-9th century. The temple complex also preserves Dvaravati sema boundary stones, ancient Buddha images, and archaeological remains, reflecting early Buddhist art and settlement in the Khorat Plateau.
